I actually started this shirt in December. I used the same pattern to make a dress to wear to my sister-in-law's wedding. I have no idea how we had this fabric, but it was in a box that Ben brought home from his outdoor therapy job. I was going to throw it out, then realized that it would be useful when wanting to do a mock up. So I did my mock up, and realized the fabric is actually pretty nice, and decided that I could make a shirt with the pattern.
Sadly my mock up didn't help that much, because I didn't try out the sleeves out before I cut my dress out of the expensive fabric. Well it turns out the sleeves did not fit my arms. Since when do sleeves not fit my arms? never, anyways, so I had to alter the sleeves, but got it all worked out in the end.
So now I have a nice white shirt to wear on Sundays, yay for free shirts!
