Okay so I am on a mission to clean out my sewing room. So I have a bunch of projects that I cut out at one time or another and I have decided I am just going to finish the projects, even if I have no use for them right now. So this is the first example of finishing off a project that has no use right now.
This was a swimming onesie I was making for Zephyr when he was 1 (2.5 years ago). All I had left was hemming it and putting on snaps...WHY didn't I just finish it then! He would have gotten so much use out of it! So I don't know what we will do with it, maybe I will just put it away to give as a baby gift, but it is done and can be moved out of my cabinets from my sewing room.

Zephyr's BYU Jammies
When my mom and I were at the fabric store Zephyr also found some BYU fleece. His BYU jammies that I made him a year and a half ago and getting pretty small, and he has big holes in the feet, so I thought it was time to make him some bigger jammies. The size 4T looked like it was going to be too small, so I went to the next size up and it is 4-5. They are a little baggy, but hopefully they will fit next winter too.

Zephyr's BYU sweats
I made Zephyr a pair of BYU pajamas like a year and a half ago. There was some fabric leftover but not enough to make a whoel shirt or pants, so I got some dark blue fleece to fill in the rest of the outfit.

Iron Board Cover
I have a very small sewing room. The full sized ironing board was too big for my room. I found a smaller ironing board that would still setup as high as I liked, so my mom got me that ironing board while she was here. But the cover that came with it at Ikea just clashed with my sewing room decor, so of course I HAD to make a new cover. I love this fabric I got at Joann's, I think it coordinates nicely with the curtains I have in there.
This is the original ironing board with the cover it came with

The Y jacket
This is a repurpose project, but of course I didn't take a before picture, because I was too excited to start the project. The original looked almost exactly like the above picture, except instead of BYU, it just had the Y logo.
Ben won it at a conference he went to, but it was the wrong size for Ben, and it just wasn't the kind of thing I was going to wear. He tried to exchange it to get store credit, but it was from like 3 years ago. So I decided I could make something for our big cougar fan (Zephyr).
So I decided to make him a jacket and was so happy with some creative cutting I was able to get a hooded jacket size 4-5 out of it.
My mom taught me how to do jacket lining and learned first the wrong way to do the arms so that the lining is all sewn in, so redid it so it actually worked. I was so happy with this project and Zephyr loves it. He wore the jacket EVERYWHERE for a number of days.

I found some great BYU flannel to line the jacket
My mom had gotten this Letter Y for Zephyr back in December so it was a nice detail for the front of the jacket. Also I added the white piping by the zipper.
This was the front of the pullover, but I made it the back for zephyr's jacket. I did not applique this Y and the nike swoosh, that was on the original.

Finished Dragonfly Dress
I started this dress in 2008 (I might have even bought the fabric at the end of 2007, I don't really remember. The last time I did significant work on this dress was Spring of 2008. If you want to an update on this dress you can see it here.
So I finally pulled it out and decided to finish it (it also would finally fit again). I had to take the band apart, and piece some more pieces to make it fit, and take out some darts I put in. Anyway it is all done, and I am sooo pleased with it!

2009 Catch up
These are in no particular order, just wanted to post pictures of a bunch of projects I sewed.
matching outfits for Autumn and her doll Christmas 2009
Prairie's Ariel blanket Christmas 2009
box load of doll clothes and me and my mom made Christmas 2009
Autumn's doll's matching robe Christmas 2009
Zephyr's BYU romper
I made Prairie's rescue pack and her diego belt for Halloween 2009 (my mom made the vest and the patch, wow!)
Jennie demonstrating the strength of the pocket sling I made for Ben summer 2009
Jennie and I tied a quilt for a wedding gift for our friend August 2009
Jennie and I stayed up all night making these matching dresses for my girls to take out to Iowa for their aunt's funeral. The butterfly fabric that I used for the bodice and the stripe on the skirt was fabric the aunt had give me a couple of years previous.
This was the swimming sling that I made out of lycra that I used all summer 2009 to go swimming with a 3 month old baby. It worked awesome!
My best friend from college had a baby in July 2009 so I made her a blanket. Her husband is an aerospace engineer so of course their son needed a space receiving blanket.
